For this project, I used some old yarn. I thought about using a pattern, but after seeing this on I just started, using dc-ch-dc combinations (with a bottom row of sc for structure) and decreasing once at the start and finish of each row. It was nice decreasing practice!

Yarn: Sesia Cotone Ecologico (90 % cotton, 10 % alpaca) in color #85.

Hook: 4 mm

Work started: 8 May 2006
Work finished: 14 May 2006

It’s very different, crocheting with cotton versus wool. This yarn was unyielding and hard on the fingers (maybe due to the alpaca), but it’s easier to avoid overstretching the yarn. In wool, you can feel the bounce of the yarn, whereas cotton feels…duller, in a way.
